Family Liaison Officer

Our Family Liaison Officer (FLO) is Mrs T Davies. She works with families across the school in many ways and can offer help, advice and support to ensure children thrive and access learning. She is available on the playground in the mornings and after school for informal chats and can be contacted on the following number for any other issues: 01525 210328

Mrs Davies  deals with such things as:
  • Admissions; new starters and settling in
  • Attendance & Punctuality
  • Before and After School Clubs
  • Bereavement
  • Early Help for families – referring families to specific organisations
  • Pre-school Applications
  • Safeguarding issues
  • Support with Mental Health & Wellbeing
  • Support for Gypsy, Roma, Traveller (GRT) families to dual register
  • Support for families who need help with reading, writing and form filling
  • Support for families who need advice on income support, housing, rent issues etc
  • Transition to middle schools
  • Zones of Regulation Interventions
  • Any other concerns families might have
  • All support given to children and families is dealt with sensitively and confidentially.

Meet Ginger, this kind and gentle fox curls up in Mrs Davies’ office ready to help children feel better.

Other support available for children and families:
  • Our school is a member of the Learning Community 2 (LC2) which employs a counsellor to work across our schools to support children and families with a variety of matters.
  • The school is also supported by the NHS Mental Health Support Team (MHST) who offer a triage service and are able to recommend next steps, including access to a variety of workshops to support anxiety and behaviour.
