Welcome to Year 4
Mrs Roe and Mrs Lacy-Taylor are our class teachers. Mrs Johnson and Mrs Greenacre are volunteers, who also help us in class.
Year 4 is an inspiring place to learn with motivating topics and challenges . Children have a variety of wider curriculum opportunities to look forward to such as swimming, Bikeability training, learning to play the ukulele and an overnight residential visit to Grafham Water.

Forest School
Children in Year 4 go to Forest School every week during the Autumn term and then ad hoc visits during the Spring/Summer term. When children attend Forest School, we ask that children bring old, comfortable clothes and wellies to change into. We have all in one wet suits if needed and we ask that the children leave their wellies in school for any impromptu visits to our woodland area. Have a look to see what we get up to:

19.6.26 Netball! The Year 4’s have been working on their netball skills over the last few weeks. They have learnt three types of netball passes, how to pivot on their landing foot and how to work as a team to score goals. Their progress has been amazing to see! We all really love our Netball and Ukulele Friday’s!
6.2.26 Number Day! The Year 4’s set up their shops and sold toys to the Year 2 children to practise giving the correct amount of change. They were also challenged to do some research on behalf of Kelloggs where they had to taste and record everyone’s favourite cereal! They presented their data in bar charts and then made observations.
30.1.26 Year 4 had a Bikeability Session led by Dan. All of the children who participated completed their Level 1 Award! Well done everyone.
