Breakfast and After School Club is open to all children from Reception to Y4. We provide a safe, welcoming and friendly environment, so that children have the best start and end to the day. Staff are qualified and well known to the children, ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times.
Staff and children at Breakfast and After School Club are expected to follow the Stanbridge Lower School’s policies and procedures.
Breakfast Club
- The breakfast club runs 8.00-8.45am Mon-Fri/term time
- Children have a choice of cereals, toast, milk, water
- Indoor activities are set to create a calm start to the day
- The cost is £4.50 per child/per session
- Any child arriving after 8.30am will be charged £1.50
- Drop off is via the main entrance
After School Club
- The After School Club runs 3.30-5.00pm Mon-Fri/term time
- Children are offered a light snack; a piece of fruit/veg, crackers, biscuits, fruit loaf or toast, water or milk to drink
- Activities are varied and planned throughout the year – they include opportunities such as Yoga, Forest School, Tennis, Science Club, Crafts
- The cost is £6.00 per child/per session – £4.50 for any additional siblings
- Pick up is usually via the main entrance – parents will be notified of any changes
- If your child is not picked up at 3.30pm, they will be sent to After School Club and you may be charged a £1.50 late fee up until 3.45pm; after this you will be charged at the normal ASC price
We can usually accommodate special dietary requirements for both clubs. Please ensure the staff are aware of your child’s needs.
Booking & Cancellation
- Parents can book places for Breakfast & After School Club via ParentPay
- Sessions must be paid for in advance; this can be done up until 8am/3pm on the day of booking
- If you no longer require the place, you can cancel up until 8am/3pm on the same day and will not be charged – if you do not cancel by this time, you may be charged
- If you have not booked a place at ASC, we will assume that you are picking your child up at 3.30pm; if your child is not picked up at 3.30pm, you will be contacted as a late pick up and you may be charged a late fee
- If you pay for your sessions through tax credits in the bank, you can still use the online booking system, but you will need to set this up with Mrs Coupland in the office
Communication & Timekeeping
- Keep the Breakfast & After School Club Leader informed of any changes to contact details.
- Ensure appropriate handover and provide any relevant updates about your child
- Notify the school if there is a change in pick up arrangements
- Let the school know if you are running late – you can do this via the main telephone number – choosing option 3. If no-one picks up, please leave a message (01525 210328)
- Any parents who have not informed the school that they are running late and arrive later than 5.15pm may incur a fine of £10.00 per child.
