My Smile

At Stanbridge we are actively trying to improve the oral health of our children and because of this we have decided to take part in the The My Smile Award. This is achieved by;

The children will be taking part in educational activities which will help them to become “tooth friendly” and to realise the importance of looking after your teeth and visiting the dentist regularly.

Avoid Sugary/Acidic Foods!  Avoid sugary and acidic food / drinks between meals.  Milk is a tooth friendly drink during the day, water is tooth friendly at any time  and from 6 months onwards encourage the use of open top cups.

The Importance of Vitamin D Adults and children over one year of age should take daily vitamin D supplements (10mg) throughout the year especially October to March.  If your baby is breastfed or having less than 500ml formula, please speak to your health visitor.  Vitamin D is important for general health and oral health .
