Governors
Welcome from The Chair of Governors
Welcome to Stanbridge Lower School.
Governors have a vital role to play in helping to make sure that every child has the best start to their school life. Governors use their diverse knowledge and experience to add value to the strategic decision-making process of the school. The Head Teacher has responsibility for the day to day management of the school.
Our Mission Statement
We believe in our children, and children are at the heart of everything we do.
We aim for all children to reach their full potential gaining a firm understanding of reading, writing and maths, reaching their age related expectations across the curriculum whilst making the best possible progress.
We want our children to gain skills and knowledge which helps them prepare for their future educational experiences, be good learners with enquiring minds who persevere and engage and enjoy their learning within a creative curriculum, taking part in lessons which are exciting and stimulating.
We aim for all children to become digitally aware, health aware, socially aware and be able to realise the importance of looking after their emotional wellbeing to keep themselves safe and happy.
We aim for all children to have the best possible attendance so they can have a full educational experience across their years at Stanbridge.
We aim to provide a stimulating, challenging and nurturing learning environment which inspires children to flourish.
We aim for children to know how to be active, engaged members of society who care about their role as part of a family, community and the wider world; encouraging them to understand what it means to be a good local and global citizen. They will know the difference between right and wrong, fair and unfair and know how to make the right choices.
We aim for children to feel secure and confident in a sustained nurturing, happy and inclusive ethos where diversity and cultural identity are valued.

The Governing Body has a clear structure, and responsibilities are delegated to the following committees:

The Governing Body and I are proud of our school and we contribute strategically to the overall standards of education at Stanbridge. We do this by monitoring all aspects of the school’s performance including attendance, standards of achievement, progress, behaviour, and finance. We want to do all we can to give every child at the school the opportunity to progress, to succeed and to fulfil their potential. We are all committed to making a real difference to education for the children who attend our school.
Yours sincerely
