Year 4 started their annual cooking lessons this term with Mrs Carr our cookery teacher. They have started making exciting recipes which they prepare in school and then take home to cook. They are all provided with a recipe card so they can cook it again at home.

We all did the conger around the school with all the children and staff after playing party games in our classroom. Mrs Patterson sorted out afternoon tea for everyone and Santa visited the classrooms with special presents for the class. Special prizes were given out for the best dancers. The Year 3 children returned to Orchard Lodge this week to sing carols to the residents. They toured the rooms of the residential home and entertained everyone with their festive songs.
Children from Year 4 met with other children in Year 4 from all the schools around Leighton Buzzard for their annual Year 4 Carol Service. It was a very festive occasion and the singing was beautiful and full of Christmas cheer.
The year 3 and 4 children went on a special trip today. They joined together with Hockcliffe Lower School and sang all the songs they had been learning during Sing Up. You were all wonderful. Well done.

All the governors and teachers in school met to take John Symonds out to lunch. John has been our Chair of Governors for many years and is moving on, relocating to Norfolk. We all said a big thank you for all his support and hard work across the years.
The year 4 children visited Orchard Lodge this morning and enjoyed completing some self portrait drawings with the residents. it was lovely to see everyone enjoying themselves.
