Children across the school have been having tennis lessons from a local coach across the half term. The children have developed their tennis skills in many ways and have enjoyed the lessons.
Children in all year groups went to the Run the Fun event where they had to run extended lengths across the afternoon at a local middle school. Such fun!
The Judo team visited Stanbridge and put soft foam jigsaw mats across the whole of our school hall in preparation for the children to have a go at Judo. It was an amazing morning and the children learnt the art of Judo in their sessions, enjoying practising and rehearsing Judo moves and throws.
Our Harvest Festival had an Italian feel this year. The children told the story of “the pizza” and told us all about where pizza toppings come from and how many food miles they have to travel through descriptions, songs and acting. The Year 3 and 4 children have all developed their swimming skills across this half term. They have all learnt and developed their swimming strokes and had a great time working with the staff at Tiddenfoot.

A big welcome to all the new children and their families who started school this year. They now have all settled into the school routines and classes are happy and working hard.
Mrs Forbes, the Literacy Subject Leader held a workshop for parents to talk to them about how to support the learning of phonics and reading at home. The workshop was well attended and parent’s told us they found the workshop very helpful.
