Shoe Box Appeal

A big thank you to all who contributed to the Shoe Box Appeal.  The children had the pleasure of taking their boxes out to the car when they were collecting them and waved them off on their journey to a child in need at Christmas.

Remembrance Service in Leighton Buzzard

Two of our children attended the Remembrance Service in Leighton Buzzard today.  They placed a wreath on the memorial as they remembered those who had died in the war.  On 11.11.19 we held a one minutes silence in memory of those who had died.

Sports Hall Athletics

Year 3 and 4 children attended the Sports Hall Athletics festival this week and enjoyed meeting with other schools sharing and using their skills as they took part in athletic activities.

Year 3 sing to Orchard Lodge Residents

This morning the Year 3 children visited the elderly residents at Orchard Lodge which is our local residential home.  The children entertained the residents with their singing.  We are looking forward to our next visit where the children in Year 4 will be sketching with the residents.

PTFA Halloween Disco

The children enjoyed a spooky disco this evening.  The PTFA dressed up in scary outfits, as did the children and enjoyed dancing the night away at the disco.  All funds raised have been used to contribute to class outings this term.

Sketching in Village

All the classes went out and about in the Village today developing their sketching skills.  They picked a view and drew the landscapes and scenes in the village that they enjoyed looking at.

Harvest at Stanbridge

Mr Wilkins worked hard with the teachers and children who this year presented an interactive Harvest Festival where the parents, children and teachers were all asked questions about how crops were harvested.  All the classes took turns in presenting their section illustrated with paintings, pictures and poems.

Year 3 visit the Church in Stanbridge
