Welcome from The Chair of Governors
Welcome to Stanbridge Lower School.
Governors have a vital role to play in helping to make sure that every child has the best start to their school life. Governors use their diverse knowledge and experience to add value to the strategic decision-making process of the school. The Head Teacher has responsibility for the day to day management of the school.
The Governing Body has a clear structure, and responsibilities are delegated to the following committees:
Finance and Resources: setting the school budget, monitoring spending, staffing structure, pay and salaries
Curriculum: raising standards and monitoring data outcomes, behaviour, attendance, developing the school curriculum
Premises: health and safety, maintenance, school grounds and premises improvement
Publicity: school brochure, website, promoting our school in the community
Head Teacher Performance Management: setting targets to further develop standards in our school
The Governing Body and I are proud of our school and we contribute strategically to the overall standards of education at Stanbridge. We do this by monitoring all aspects of the school’s performance including attendance, standards of achievement, progress, behaviour, and finance. We want to do all we can to give every child at the school the opportunity to progress, to succeed and to fulfil their potential. We are all committed to making a real difference to education for the children who attend our school.
